Weekend HGV Class 1 Driver

We are looking for Part-time HGV Class 1 Drivers for our client based in Mallusk. The job involves the delivery of stock to supermarkets across Northern Ireland.

We are looking for drivers who are available on both Saturday and Sunday or just Saturday or just Sunday.

Duties:

– Safely operate a commercial vehicle to transport goods from one location to another
– Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving
– Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment and techniques
– Plan routes and schedule deliveries to ensure timely and efficient transportation
– Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts, mileage, and fuel usage
– Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform routine maintenance as needed
– Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and other drivers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise

Essentials

Experience:

– Valid commercial driver’s license (CE) with a clean driving record
– Proven experience as a cat CE driver (12 months minimum)
– Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures for operating large vehicles
– Ability to navigate using GPS systems or maps
– Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
– Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with others
