Duties:                                                                

You are working as a Production Operative.

The text you have been sent has the details of the actual shift and shift pattern you are booked onto.

As a Production Operative you will be working in different areas of production.

This can involve working on the production line focusing on packing and labeling but also might include variety of manual handling, twisting & turning movements. Your duties as a Production Operative will include quality checking and production of Fish Products.

Health & Safety/ Collective Facilities     

– Hair Nets and Overalls and Safety Boots MUST always be worn while in the factory.
– Limited Facilities are available onsite.
– Canteen is available, equipped with microwaves and kettles to heat up food which has been brought in.

Ensure to take Regular Breaks. Breaks are fully paid.

Monday to Friday employees are entitled to one 15-minute break and one 20-minute break

4 on-4 off workers are entitled to two 15-minute breaks and one 20-minute break

(Shift times and duration might vary from shift patterns)

Overtime is paid at x1.5 when worked over 48 hours within a week if 4 on 4 off shift pattern; if Monday to Friday shift pattern then OT is paid over 40 hours.

Additional Particulars for Employee:

  • As a temporary worker you will be entitled to holiday leave according to the statutory minimum which is set out in the Working Time Regulations 1998. The current annual statutory entitlement is 5.6 weeks per year for full time workers and pro rata for part time workers (12.07% of total earnings). Holiday pay is accrued and paid when time off is taken. When your engagement terminates you will be entitled to a pro-rata payment in lieu of any unused holiday entitlement up to the statutory limit of paid annual leave.  This MUST be requested at least 2 weeks before start date of holiday.
  • Length of notice the agency worker must give and should receive to terminate the contract or assignment – Any of the employment business, the agency worker or the hirer may terminate the agency worker’s assignment at any time without prior notice or liability.
  • Entitlement to sick leave and pay (See clause 8 in your contract) – You may be eligible for statutory sick pay (SSP) if you meet the relevant statutory criteria.
  • Maternity/paternity leave and other paid leave – You may be eligible for statutory Maternity/Paternity Leave provided you meet the relevant statutory criteria. You are not entitled to any other paid leave.
  • Pensions & pensions schemes – If you are eligible, you will be enrolled automatically into the occupational pension scheme in accordance with our obligations under the Pensions Act 2008. Details of the scheme will be provided when you join the scheme
  • Any other benefits – N/A
