Sure Recruitment Group are working with our client based in Ballymena to recruit a Business Development Executive.

The role will involve working as part of a dynamic Agriculture Sales team. The goal will be to strive to achieve the company’s vision to be best in class by maximising sales opportunities and to achieve gross profit targets.

The role will provide the successful candidate the opportunity to sell a comprehensive range of agricultural products including Above Ground Slurry Stores, Surefoot Cattle Slats, Bunker Walls, and Oxfence range to the Agricultural and Commercial markets both in the UK and Ireland through various channels such as telephone, email, trade shows and onsite visits.

To excel in this role, you should have excellent communication skills and a understanding of the agricultural market. You will need to be able to build and maintain relationships with existing and new customers, identify their needs, and provide solutions that meet their requirements.

– Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to achieve sales targets
– Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients through networking and cold calling
– Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and customer needs
– Present and demonstrate company products and services to potential clients
– Negotiate contracts and close deals with clients
– Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client satisfaction and successful project implementation
– Provide regular reports on sales activities, pipeline, and forecasts


– Proven experience as a Business Development Executive or similar role
– Strong knowledge of both the agriculture and construction business sectors
– Familiarity with Salesforce (or other CRM software) is highly desirable
– Excellent communication and negotiation skills
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
– Full clean driving licence i.e. driving company vehicles
